(1) you must be prompt, anyone coming in late will not get credit for attending a classroom clinic.
(2) Please in the beginning allow Barry to conduct the clinic without constant interruption unless asked for your input.

"Referral Program". For current members that recruit a new umpire, if that apprentice becomes a full member, then your dues for the following season will be waived.

As stated at our first meeting of 2019, a new contract was being negotiated with The MPA. Background checks are now mandatory since the Fall of 2019, and receiving assignments for the 2020 season and beyond. I have attached the link that has the necessary information to get fingerprinted and a CHRC card that we will need on file.

"The umpire must be quick witted. He may not, like the wise old owl of the bench, look over his gold-rimmed eyeglasses, inform the assembled multitude that he will 'take the matter under advisement,' and then adjourn the court for a week or two to satisfy himself how he ought to decide. No, indeed. He must be johnny-on-the-spot with a decision hot off the griddle and he must stick to it, right or wrong - or be lost."
- A.G. Spalding in America's National Game (1911)
